Student Involvement Staff Help with Parkland Rising Art Project
Parkland Rising is the latest public art project funded by Center for Neighborhood's P.A.I.N.T. (Producing Art in Neighborhoods Together) Project. Ramona Dallum Lindsey, artist, is helping the community turn the vacant two story apartment building at 3201 Greenwood Ave into a symbol of hope, renewal & rebirth. Young and old were encouraged to show the greatness of Parkland through art.
Heidi Elmer, Julie Onnembo, Lauren Doerner, Pam Curtis and our two summer interns, Josh Brown and Amanda Fishman, helped out painting and working with the kids to add the feathers to the Phoenix on June 20. The art work will be dedicated on July 8. Find out more about this project at http://rise40211.wix.com/parklandrising
