Student Recreation Center Dedication

Eight former Student Government Association presidents joined current president Carrie Mattingly and UofL president Dr. James Ramsey during the recent SRC dedication ceremony. The eight former SGA presidents in attendance were: Sana Abhari, Angela McCormick Bisig, Holly Everett, Kurtis Frizzell, Doug Kemper, OJ Oleka, Rudy Spencer, Tara Wigginton.

2013 Parent of the Year

Julie Dupont of Fort Thomas, Ky., received the 2013 Parent of the Year Award on October 19 as part of the Homecoming festivities. Her daughter Cecily, a senior at the School of Business, nominated her. The award, now in its sixth year, is designed to let students recognize their parents for the help and support they've given throughout the students' lives.

Dean Mardis Article Published

Dean Mardis has an article appearing in the Fall 2013 Journal of the Association of Student Conduct Administrators. The artcile is titled Behavioral Intervention and Threat-Assessment Teams in Higher Education: Results From an Exploratory Study and was co-authored by Christian Gamm, Assistant Director of Graduate School Admissions at UofL, and Dana Sullivan from the Department of Social Work at Western Kentucky University.
