New Book Features Chapter by Dr. Tom Jackson



Dr. Tom Jackson is co-author of a chapter in the just published book Called to Serve: A Handbook on Student Veterans and Higher Education. Dr. Jackson co-wrote the chapter entitled Institutional Leadership on Serving Student Veterans and Service Members  with  Charles J. Fey, and Leah Ewing Ross. The co-editors of the book,  Florence Hamrick and Corey Rumann will be featured presenters at this year Veteran Symposium for Higher Education scheduled for February 11 and 12 in Louisville.

Matt Real selected as president-elect of CPAK

Matt Real was elected President-Elect of the College Personnel Association of Kentucky (CPAK)at the state meeting held last week in Frankfort. CPAK is a state division of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA).  Matt is a Career Coach in the Career Development Center.  Congratulations Matt !

Gerome Wins Prestigious National Award

Our own Gerome Stephens for being selected as one of the Marcus Buckingham Leaders Leading Leaders recipients. This program recognizes innovative leaders who inspire excellence in others. Leaders Leading Leaders was awarded to recipients who stand out from the crowd with proven leadership results. Gerome Stephens will be having dinner with Marcus Buckingham in Beverly Hills in January.

Tim Moore Presents at Atlanta Conference



The National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS) recently held their conference in Atlanta, Georgia where Tim Moore, Director of Student Activities and Student Activities Center, presented three educational sessions.  “Where do Great ideas Come From – Building an Innovative Organization”, “Beyond Customer Service – Creating Great Experiences’, and “Reimaging the Director – A new framework for Leading” were presented by Moore and each received excellent evaluations from conference delegates.  NACAS is the largest auxiliary services support organization serving higher education.
