Alternative Spring Break Trips

Many UofL students are giving up their traditional spring break trips this year to participate in a week of volunteer service. The Division of Student Affairs is sponsoring alternative spring break trips to Belize, New Orleans,and Trinidad and Tobago this week. Students are getting to experience a new culture and impact the local community where they are volunteering. Some groups are maintaining blogs during their trips – check them out to see what they have been doing this week.

Fryberger Parent and Alumni Reception

The Division of Student Affairs is hosting a complimentary reception for parents and alumni right before the Annual Fryberger Sing. The reception will be held on February 22 from 5:30 to 6:30 in the Ovation Lounge of the Louisville Palace. The Fryberger performance starts at 7:00pm.

Glenn Gittings Elected to NASPA Post

Congratulations to Glenn Gittings for his recent election as the National Chair-Elect for the NASPA Student Affairs Fundraising and External Relations Knowledge Community!

As the National Chair-Elect, he will serve a critical leadership role in providing opportunities for NASPA members to access information related to your Knowledge Community and to come together through common interests in ways that support NASPA’s mission, vision, and goals. This is a two year term running through March 2017. He begins his orientation at this year conference and will officially take office as National KC Chair at the NASPA Annual Business Meeting in New Orleans on March 24, 2015. Way to go Glenn!
